PITTSBURGH, Oct. 6, 2015 – Burleson LLP announced today that Keith Zabela has been named managing partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office.
Zabela has managed Burleson’s Oil and Gas Title and Rapid Response Due Diligence Practice Groups for the Appalachian region since the opening of the Pittsburgh office in 2009. In addition to those roles, he focuses on leasing, operational and transactional issues.
“Keith has had a major role in building the Pittsburgh office and helping us attract a top-tier roster of clients,” said managing partner Rick Burleson. “He has a broad understanding not only of energy law, but also of the issues and concerns facing the energy industry companies. That depth of knowledge delivers real value to oil and gas companies in the region and makes him a valuable resource to the other lawyers in the firm.”
Zabela acknowledged that the energy sector is facing a difficult competitive environment, but added that the Pittsburgh office has the skills and experience to help overcome the challenges confronting the industry.
“These are tough times, and they raise a lot of issues that have to be managed carefully, efficiently, and strategically,” he explained. “The attorneys in this office know how to do that and can produce results that are consistent with clients’ operational and financial goals. I greatly appreciate this opportunity to further build on our accomplishments and look forward to taking the firm to the next level.”
