Hernandez will help support the firm’s clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Prior to joining J.L. Powers, he most recently served as President of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce, the ninth largest chamber in the DFW region.

Hernandez has also led the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce and the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Central Texas. He is a US Army Veteran, who served his country proudly in the late ’80s.
He earned an undergraduate degree with honors from Southwest Texas State University, and received his economic development certification from Texas A&M-College Station’s extension office. He is also a leadership training graduate with honors from the University of Texas-Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.
In Lewisville, Hernandez led efforts to pass the largest municipal bond election in the city’s history. While at the Kyle Area Chamber, he helped promote and secure a $209 million road expansion partnership. He also assisted in development of the Seton Medical Center Hays, the largest medical campus in Hays County, and the establishment of the Austin Community College’s Hays County campus.
