This Lease Royalty Calculator will help you determine your Net Revenue Interest (NRI) in a well or unit as a Lease Royalty Owner. This calculator does not take any burdens (such as an NPRI) or taxes into account and should only be used to assist your thought process; it is not definitive. Pettigrew & Pettigrew Land Services is not liable for the results of this calculation. If you are interested in receiving a more thorough explanation or examination of your Division Order or NRI please call Pettigrew & Pettigrew at 281-465-0276 or email info@pandplandservice.com.

This is a question that people spend a long time to learn. There are many classes out there to teach professionals how to calculate a net revenue interest. Part of the difficulty lies in the fact that there are such a great number of variations. It is difficult to simply give a quick formula that will be accurate enough for most uses. That being said, if you’re just looking for some general information to get you in a ballpark, here is a website that claims to give you a calculation after filling in a few quick lines: http://www.mineralweb.com/owners-guide/leased-and-producing/royalty-calculator/oil-royalty-calculator/

Beware, however, the devil is in the details. You should consult with a professional if you want a reliable opinion.
